Quote on inside: It does not matter from whom we learn about love, or with whom we exchange love, only that we love. We need not make narrow, culturally endorsed or forced choices regarding race, gender or species about who to love, or how to love. We must just love.
It is the whales who taught me this. They taught me that family and learning about love and being loved need not come from expected, traditional sources in our human culture. Being with these powerful yet gentle whales in the water, in their home, is unlike anything on earth. Every year, when I return from my annual whale swim trips, an image of the light I felt between us while together stays with me and fills me with a love unlike any love I have known. The whales have told me that they call this procreation of love— creating new bonds and levels of love and trust that had not been there before between species. The simple image on this card is a symbol of the light created when whales and humans come together in love and trust.
May you also have moments of procreation of love with the precious animals of the earth.
