Must I be a strong swimmer or skilled athlete to do this trip?

You do not need to be an advanced swimmer to enjoy this trip. People with just very basic swimming skills can enjoy views of the dolphins by floating on the surface and seeing both the dolphins and dolphins with humans below the water. However, strong swimming skills and strong cardiovascular health will enable you to dive underwater and swim with the dolphins for longer periods.

Whatever your swimming abilities, is is extremely important that you are very comfortable and skilled using snorkeling gear in the water before the trip. Though learning to snorkel is quite easy, learning for the first time in open seas can be scary for first timers, and that learning time takes time away from your pure enjoyment of being with the dolphins. Please take the time to learn in a local pool, ocean or pond before the trip.
