Itinerary

FRIDAY EVENING:

Stay overnight at the Embassy Suites hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. (1100 SE 17th St., 954-527-2700) Accommodations are reserved for our group at the discounted price of $99 plus 11% tax, and include a two-room suite, full breakfast, happy hour, and transportation to and from the airport and the boat dock. When you register for the trip, you will be asked if you need hotel accommodations for this evening (or others). If you would like to share a room with another participant, let us know. For those needing rooms, we will make the reservation for you and you will pay the hotel upon arrival.

SATURDAY:

At approximately 7:30 AM our group is taken by shuttle van to the port. Here we board our floating home for the week, Bottom Time II, and depart for Bimini. During our 2.5 to 3 hour trip across the Gulf Stream to the island, we begin our orientation to the week's experience: Meet the crew, settle into our cabins, receive orientation to the boat, get acquainted with each other, and have an opening meditation of gratitude and blessings for the dolphins.

After entering Bimini harbor we clear Customs and Immigration, have lunch, then we are off to the dolphins!

SUNDAY - THURSDAY:

In the evenings and mornings, our boat will anchor in the secure and calm coves of Bimini. Because these bottlenose and spotted dolphins typically feed farther off shore in the mornings, our time with them is usually in the afternoons. Aboard Bottom Time II, we will cruise the area looking for dolphins. When they appear and come close to us, we enter the water and begin the magic of healing and play. Encounters usually last from ten minutes to two hours at least several times a week, all of which are chosen by the dolphins.

Between dolphin encounters, there is ample time for snorkeling to see colorful tropical fish, beautiful coral and simply to swim and relax. You'll have a chance to see the underwater Bimini Road, or "Road to Atlantis". You will also have an opportunity explore the many sights between Great Isaac Light and the beautiful sandy beaches of North Bimini. We'll explore small, uninhabited islands.

FRIDAY:

Bottom Time II arrives in port by 10 am. Shuttle service is available to hotels or the airport.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES throughout the week

Each morning, there will be a period of silent time on the upper deck to provide quiet time for private meditation, journaling, or simply quiet time with ourselves and the sea

Each morning we'll have a sacred circle for sharing and a meditation, to begin the day with gratitude, peace and to send love to the dolphins

Each evening, we'll have a sacred circle for sharing and a meditation, to end the day with gratitude, peace and sending love to the dolphins

Wednesday evening we'll go ashore to Bimini for time to shop and see the local culture. After dark we'll have a sacred circle with a beach bonfire, around which we'll offer Blessings for the Dolphins, Whales and the Earth.

During our morning sacred circles, we'll have a Giving of Gifts to the Dolphins ritual, offering gifts of nature or energy to the dolphins in thanks for our opportunity to visit them in their ocean home.

One evening, a crew member will give a slide presentation on the natural history of bottlenose and spotted dolphins.

If there is interest, Teresa may give a slide presentation on the natural history of humpback whales and the Bottom Time II trip to swim with whales off the Dominican Republic

Private readings to talk with the dolphins through Teresa will be available all week. These readings can include any questions you may have about the dolphins. However, their main interest in these readings is to provide individuals with guidance, inspiration and support about their human life paths. They have also indicated that they wish to provide energy healing during these sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: All activities are voluntary. Some guests opt to spend considerable time alone to process their experience privately. You will be supported in whatever choices you make for your day to day interactions.
